"I must be the most tired women in the world"

Based on a montage of texts by women poets (Emily Dickinson, Anais Nïn) Mermaids evokes the theme of burn-out and pays tribute to all tired women.
In the collective imagination, mermaids bewitch men to devour them. Here, they become creative women who swim in the depths and resist, in a society that is not made for them and does not understand them.

A partir d'un montage de textes de femmes poètes (Emily Dickinson, Anais Nïn) Mermaids évoque le thème du burn-out et rend hommage à toutes les femmes fatiguées.
Dans l'imaginaire collectif, les sirènes ensorcellent les hommes pour les dévorer. Ici, elles deviennent des femmes créatrices qui nagent dans les profondeurs et qui résistent, dans une société qui n'est pas faite pour elles et qui ne les comprend pas.

I am tired when I get up.
Life requires an effort I cannot make.

I must be a mermaid.
